Thankful Thursday: 1,000 Gifts {part 2}

I can't believe how fast time seems to be going.  I remember when I was little, a day seemed like eternity. Now it is as if I blink, and six months has flown by.  Six months, many weeks, and numerous days filled with the chance to give thanks for life's moments.

Have any of you started your 1,000 list?  I know Denise has had hers going, and inspires me to keep writing mine too.  So I thought I would post the next 30ish items that have reminded me to pause, reflect, and say thanks. And I know if I forget to remember the little things, life keeps on rushing by and I find myself not as joyful, not as thankful for this gift called life.

1,000 Gifts

22. Learning about Christ's unconditional love, and realizing I want to love just like that.

23. Reading material on photography

24. Staring at the different shades of blue in the ocean

25. Laying under stars on a blanket and talking to God about life.

26. Running with 300 people around Miami and seeing the twinkly lights

27. Feeling the cool breeze on my face and watching the palm trees sway as the weather changes

28. Learning to be more carefree and trust

29. Seeing my wonderful friends at a wedding and dancing until the wee hours

30. Laughing with people I love

31. Sitting next to friends and saying nothing, because nothing needs to be said.

32. Receiving a care package from my mom

33. When my busy dad says he prays for me

34. Receiving pictures of my cute niece

35. Learning that even through distance, you can still grow closer to your family though far away

36. Seeing old friends again and picking up right where you left off.

37. Learning to eat healthier (paleo)

38. Learning to be more patient with myself these past few months.

39. Standing on the island bridge and looking at the Miami skyline at night

40. Watching fireworks with nuns and friends

41. Old and new friendships

42. Emails from people I love, knowing we will always stay in touch

43. Friends and family who love you so much, they make sure you are growing and aren't afraid to tell you when you need to "step it up" or "change"

44. Dreams

45. Dancing with my arms high above my head

46. Meeting friends in blogland who have touched my heart and have helped me grow in many ways

47. Listening to the ocean move

48. Feeling my legs stretch and move as I try to run faster each week

49. Nights in the city with a cool breeze, friends, and fellowship

50. Having friends from all over come together for a fall fest and pumpkin carving

51. Having friends over for tea and listening to their stories.   Just listening.

52. Learning to be more understanding

54. Random adventures

55. Finding beauty and freezing it with my camera

56. Amazing clients who take chances on my passion for photography

57. Crosfit { this is not cliche ;) }

Ok, I am getting carried away with this list!  But I am learning the more I end my day by remembering gratitude, I tend to wake up with a positive outlook for the next day. 

I hope you start writing your own list.  It is amazing when we turn our attention away from what we don't have or to the 1/2 empty glass, we have the opportunity to fill up our glasses with joy.  Remember it is our choice on how we view the world - don't let others shape it for you :)
